Sometimes You Need A More Mainstream Software Solution

Custom solutions aren't always required.    It makes no sense for us to develop a custom CRM or Service Portal -- there are already many 3rd party offerings of those types.  The question then becomes, "which one is right for your organization?" 

MWS Group has the ability to assess your requirements, the capabilities of the users and the various integration issues as well.    We take all those factors into account in making a recommendation.

How Do We Evaluate 3rd Party Software?

We use our own custom Criteria-Based Assessment process.  Some highlights are:
  • First, we define together what a successful software selection result would be and what business pain points we are trying to resolve
  • We base our functional search not only on today's needs, but we try to include future potential requirements as well 
  • We believe there's no reason to compromise on your Top Priority requirements-- there are many vendors out there
  • It's hard to find the singular "right" option among so many software offerings, but by comparing several top vendors' offerings, we can usually discern the fine points that differentiate the alternatives for you 
  • We seek an opportunity to use the Top Contender software packages ourselves, so we have a user's view of each.  Trials  are often the best way to get this hands-on experience
  • Realizing that it's users who make software the productive tool it should be, we compare the capabilities of your user base to the design and user interface of the software
  • We'll look at security issues and whether you are the owner of your data once it's in the vendor's system
  • We check out how the licensing is structured and we evaluate the SLA.   We look at the partnership this vendor offers -- you are not buying a box of software like was done in the 1990s .   You're buying a long-term relationship
  • We look at the vendor's future Roadmap for releases and we look at the history of releases too
  • We look at risks like whether there's 3rd party software included in/built into the vendor's solution
  • We try to assess how the software will impact the end customer and other stakeholders in-house
